Besta Sports Club organizes the third edition of the BESTA Challenge archery Cup
Bucharest, 17.09.2009. Besta Sports Club, through the archery Department, organizes on September 19, 2009, the third edition of Besta Challenge Cup.
The competition will start at 9.30 on the Olympia Stadium in Bucharest.The event is included in the competitive calendar of the Romanian Federation of Archery. At the Besta Challenge Cup will take part athletes from all clubs affiliated to the Federation, including Alexandru Bodnar, Gigi Pusca, Razvan Marcu. The results of the famous archers, Razvan Marcu and Alexandru Bodnar, recommend them as team members of the Olympic delegacy which will represent Romania at the 2012 Olympic Games.
Paul TUDOR Chairman of BESTA Sports Club and the Romanian Federation of Archery, said: “In 2009 and especially 2010, Romania will be more involved in international archery competitions, taking into account the development of this sport that is growing in teenager’s interests. In 2008, Romania has participated in the Beijing Olympics with Alexandru Bodnar, 18 years old archer , the first Romanian archer who competed in an Olympics archery trial, after Moscow 1980. Besta Group is constantly supporting our athletes in this approach and also the performance in the sport, both on nationally and internationally level."
Besta Sports Club has organized the first edition of Besta-Challenge Cup on September 2007, cup won by the Municipal Sports Club of Iasi. The second edition of the Cup was held on September 2008 and was won by Besta Sports Club Bucharest.
The event is organized by Sports Club BESTA Bucharest, in co-operation with the Romanian Archery Federation, powered by Besta Group SA and supported by HOFIGAL company with prizes and promotional materials and by CSEurostil and Sport Directorate of Bucharest.
